Light the Kitchen with Diwali Favorites
Diwali is a festival centered on light, family, and food, and this hands-on cooking class explores the traditions behind the holiday. Chef in Residence Suman Shah will guide participants in preparing a crisp, golden fried snack and a slow-cooked, spiced dessert from scratch. The class is designed to help attendees bring festive cooking into their own kitchens, whether or not they celebrate Diwali, while enjoying the experience with fellow participants.
The class includes instruction on cooking techniques and the cultural traditions connected with the holiday. An allergen notice identifies dairy, nuts, and wheat as present.
