Lysander Piano Trio

The Lysander Piano Trio appears in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s Weekend Concert Series for a program spanning Romantic-era chamber music and contemporary work. The trio, founded while its members were students at Juilliard, performs music by Swedish violinist and composer Amanda Maier, Edvard Grieg, Antonín Dvořák, and South African composer Bongani Ndodana-Breen. Ndodana-Breen’s music draws on both the classical tradition and the musical cultures of sub-Saharan Africa, including the Xhosa heritage of his own family.

The concert is currently sold out. Interested listeners may contact the Museum’s Box Office to request placement on a waitlist.
