In Bruges

Martin McDonagh’s Oscar-nominated black comedy-drama follows Ray and Ken, two London hit men sent by their boss to lie low in Bruges after a job goes wrong. While Ken is captivated by the Belgian city’s medieval architecture, canals, and quiet beauty, Ray is haunted by what happened in London and struggles with their enforced tourist vacation.

Their stay grows increasingly strange as they encounter eccentric locals and visitors, Dutch prostitutes, violent medieval art, an American dwarf actor filming an art movie, and Chloë, a woman who becomes a possible romantic interest for Ray but may be concealing dangerous secrets. When their boss finally calls, the trip turns into a darkly comic and emotionally charged confrontation with life-and-death consequences.
