The Ya-G’s
The Ya-G’s are a band formed during the COVID-19 pandemic by neighborhood dads who missed live music and started making their own. The group features multi-instrumentalists and focuses on songs rather than instrumental display, with a sound built around jangly rhythms and rough-edged harmonies designed for singing and stomping along.
Their repertoire may range from Prince, the Velvet Underground, the Waterboys, the Beatles, XTC, the Replacements, Talking Heads, Tarbox Ramblers, and the Kinks to original songs. All proceeds from the event will support Nourish a Neighbor, a local food pantry fundraiser.
