To a Land Unknown

Mahdi Fleifel’s 2025 film *To a Land Unknown* follows Palestinian cousins Reda and Chatila as they hustle through Athens while trying to reach Germany. As their difficult circumstances intensify, Chatila proposes a reckless, all-or-nothing scheme that tests their loyalty and the limits of what they are willing to do for freedom.

The Harvard Film Archive presents this special screening in partnership with the Film Study Center and the Sensory Ethnography Lab, followed by a conversation with Fleifel, who is currently a Radcliffe-FSC fellow.
