Decibels Film Festival: Summer Tour

Summer Tour is the Decibels Film Festival’s Closing Night presentation, following Jerry and Annie as they travel with the Deadhead community while Dead & Company undertakes its final tour. The documentary moves between parking lots, stadiums, and Shakedown Street, where the couple busks, sells handmade clothing, and experiences the unconventional economy and generosity of life on the road.

Combining contemporary travel footage with fan phone-ins, personal stories, memories, and reflections from multiple generations, the film explores the enduring mythology of the Grateful Dead and the communal pilgrimage surrounding its music. It is an intimate portrait of alternative lifestyles, music fandom, and the importance of gathering in person.
