The Great Marsh/ Manship Artists Residency
The Great Marsh/ Manship Artists Residency exhibition, presented as The Great Marsh Starts Here! A Living Landscape in Motion, celebrates three years of artistic exploration, collaboration, and community engagement inspired by the Great Marsh, one of New England’s significant coastal landscapes. The exhibition brings together work by artists involved in the Great Marsh Artists Fellowship, whose projects explore the marsh’s natural and man-made history, ecological importance, beauty, and fragility.
Over the fellowship’s three years, 22 artists were selected to develop 24 projects connecting art, ecology, history, science, and community. Some projects have already been presented, while others remain in progress. The exhibition includes work by 18 of the fellows and spans painting, photography, sculpture, video, book art, music, animation, and dance.
