AI Escape Incidents: Why They Happened and What Comes Next
This free, public community meeting from the AI Safety Awareness Project offers a beginner-friendly look at AI agents, recent AI escape incidents, and the challenges of keeping increasingly capable systems under control. The program examines why AI labs have struggled to contain powerful AIs, how AI agents’ capabilities and agency may develop, and why AI systems can become misaligned during training.
The fast-paced session also includes a demonstration of AI misalignment and considers how rapidly advancing AI could change work, trust, human relationships, and society.
