The Joy Reo Trio

The Joy Reo Trio brings a lively, soulful program to Sanctuary, moving across classic jazz, pop, and Broadway. Vocalist Joy Reo performs with pianist Molly Flannery and Diane Heffner, who plays tenor saxophone, clarinet, and bass clarinet.

Flannery is known for her fluid playing, melodic improvisations, and command of jazz, Latin, and Brazilian styles. Heffner draws on a long career in both classical and jazz performance and also performs with ensembles including Boston Baroque and the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. Reo has performed for Boston-area audiences since making her debut at the Acton Jazz Café in 2014.
