Smack Dabs: Swing-Blues Performance

The Smack Dabs present a good-time Swing Blues performance rooted in the music of the 1930s. The program features songs associated with Tampa Red, Big Bill Bronzy, the Harlem Hamfets, and other artists, spanning styles from mournful blues to joyful celebrations. The music also provides opportunities for lively solo and group improvisation and is intended to entertain both listeners and dancers.

The event is sponsored by The Friends of the West Roxbury Branch Library and is open to the public.
