Information Session for Adult English Learners

This informal information session is for adults learning English who want to find classes, conversation practice, and other local support. Members of the Boston Public Library’s Literacy Services team will answer questions, explain available programs, and help participants connect with resources. The session is intended for information and referrals rather than formal English instruction.

Participants can learn how to register for grammar classes, hear about free informal conversation groups for speaking and listening practice, and ask about local resources and programs for adult English learners. Additional suggested resources include the library’s ESOL literacy materials, the City of Boston’s Adult Literacy Initiative, the Massachusetts Adult Education Help Desk, Mango Languages online learning software for library cardholders, and information about obtaining a library card.
