Weekend Concert Series
The Poiesis Quartet performs in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s Weekend Concert Series. Founded in 2022, the quartet has quickly gained attention in the classical music world. Its program pairs two major works from the established repertoire with contemporary pieces, including a new commission by Jeff Scott.
The concert includes Beethoven’s final string quartet, a work marked by humor despite the difficult circumstances in which it was written, alongside music by Prokofiev, Minnesota composer Sky Macklay, and Jeff Scott.
