The Art of Everyday Things: Age Strong Painting Workshop
The Art of Everyday Things: Age Strong Painting Workshop is a welcoming, eight-week painting program focused on creativity, self-expression, and seeing ordinary objects in new ways. Participants will create landscapes, still lifes, and collaborative abstract works while experimenting with traditional art supplies and everyday materials. The workshop is designed as a supportive space for both first-time painters and people returning to a longtime artistic practice.
The session is led by longtime artist and community leader Joseph M. Chéry, resident curator of the Haitian Artists Assembly of Massachusetts. His work emphasizes art’s ability to bring people together, encourage conversation, and strengthen communities. Supplies and materials are provided, and the program is sponsored by the Age Strong Commission of Boston for senior patrons.
