Blast of Silence

Allen Baron’s *Blast of Silence* is a stark, stylish New York noir about a hit man carrying out an assignment in Manhattan during the Christmas season. The film follows his mission with ruthless precision while observing the strange details of city life and the imposing beauty of the urban landscape.

Low-budget but meticulously crafted, the film combines rough-edged imagery with carefully composed visuals. Its distinctive poetic narration was performed by Lionel Stander and written by Waldo Salt; both contributions were uncredited.
