Daddy Issues: 'Call Her Daddy' co-creator Sofia Franklyn reclaims her story

Wed, Nov 11, 2026at 7:00 PM
890 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215
$10-$50
Featuring: Sofia Franklyn, Anna Marie Tendler

Sofia Franklyn, co-creator of the influential podcast “Call Her Daddy,” will discuss her memoir, “Daddy Issues,” and the personal story behind its creation. In conversation with writer and visual artist Anna Marie Tendler, Franklyn will reflect on girlhood, friendship, sexuality, ambition, agency, betrayal, healing, and the process of reclaiming her narrative after the highly publicized collapse of her partnership with Alex Cooper.

Franklyn and Cooper created “Call Her Daddy” in 2018, and the podcast quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Their friendship and professional relationship fell apart two years later, leaving Cooper as the show’s sole host in a deal reportedly valued at $60 million. Franklyn later launched “Sofia with an F,” now in its sixth year with millions of listeners. “Daddy Issues” examines the rise and breakdown of that partnership, the public fallout, and Franklyn’s subsequent reckoning with ambition, identity, and the cost of being reduced to a headline.
