Grateful Tuesdays

Grateful Tuesdays features Dead Ahead, a high-energy New England band inspired by the Grateful Dead, Little Feat, and the Allman Brothers Band. Their performances combine Dead classics, deep cuts, and original songs with extended jams, vocal harmonies, unexpected medleys, and deep improvisation, making each show distinct.

The band formed in the fall of 2024 and became known through its weekly Sanctuary residency in Maynard. The lineup centers on husband-and-wife guitarists Ryan and Sonya Rae Taylor. Ryan contributes virtuosic, soulful slide guitar, while Sonya Rae performs as a singer and guitarist and brings experience as a former Nashville staff songwriter. Alex MacDougall plays drums and sings, joined by Justin Lopes on keyboards, Matt Caporale on bass, Joe Peck on guitar and vocals, and Brendan Tommaney on percussion.
