KBLIC Drop-In Notary Services

KBLIC Drop-In Notary Services offers walk-in document notarization during the listed hour at the Kirstein Business Library & Innovation Center in the Central Library. No appointment is required, and visitors may arrive at any time during the service period.

Bring completed documents, but do not sign them until you are with the notary. All signers must have a current government-issued photo ID. Notary services are currently limited to documents in English.

Appointments: Not required; drop-in service is available throughout the scheduled hour.

Document requirements: Forms must be fully completed except for the signatures that need notarization. Do not sign before meeting with the notary.

Identification: Every signer must bring a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, or state identification card.

Witnesses: If a document requires witnesses, visitors must provide their own witnesses.

Certified copies: For notarization involving certified copies, bring the original documents. Public photocopiers are available at Boston Public Library locations.

Language: Documents can currently be notarized only in English.

Accessibility: Disability accommodations and language services may be requested through the department listed in the event’s contact information. At least two weeks’ notice is recommended for arranging accommodations.
