Studio Saturdays: Remembrance Altars

Studio Saturdays: Remembrance Altars is a reflective, adult-oriented mixed-media workshop focused on honoring ancestors, loved ones, mentors, family, chosen family, and cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from traditions such as Día de los Muertos ofrendas and Japanese Buddhist butsudan, participants will create a personal altar or other remembrance piece celebrating the people and traditions that have shaped their lives.

No previous art experience is required. The workshop provides all necessary materials and concludes with a completed individual artwork and a shared communal reflection. Participants may bring copies of photographs or small paper keepsakes to incorporate into their pieces.
