Jack O'Neill (from Jackopierce)

Tue, Nov 17, 2026at 7:30 PM
80 Beverly St, Boston, MA 02114
$30
Featuring: Jack O'Neill

Jack O’Neill, actor, singer-songwriter, and co-founder of the Texas-born indie-rock duo Jackopierce, performs live at City Winery Boston’s Haymarket Lounge. The concert features O’Neill’s solo work alongside the musical perspective he developed through more than 35 years of recording and touring with Jackopierce.

O’Neill’s background spans music and theater. He grew up in Army communities across the American South as the son of a paratrooper and classically trained pianist, later moving to New York City and studying in Southern Methodist University’s BFA Theater program on scholarship. With Jackopierce, he has shared stages with artists including Lyle Lovett, Dave Matthews Band, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Rob Thomas, The Wallflowers, and Toad the Wet Sprocket. The duo also performed on *Late Night with Conan O’Brien* with Max Weinberg and the Max Weinberg 7, as well as with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

His solo material includes *North Star*, a 2025 album produced by J. Michael Smith at Sunland Studio in Dallas. The music is described as intimate and cinematic, combining stripped-down bedroom-confessional elements with indie-rock energy, literary songwriting, humor, and emotional weight. O’Neill’s acting credits include the television series *Law & Order*, *FBI*, *New Amsterdam*, and ESPN’s *’72 Voodoo Dolphins*, along with the films *In the Night* and *Listen F$ckers*. He was also part of The Bats, the resident acting company at New York City’s Flea Theater, and continues advanced study in Bob Krakower’s acting workshop.
