Gill Aharon Trio presents an exploratory jazz performance shaped by cartoon music of the 1950s and ’60s, Led Zeppelin’s drive, Frank Zappa’s wit, Bach’s precision, Ligeti’s intensity, the adventurous spirit of Medeski, Martin and Wood, Phish’s live improvisation, and the Beatles’ melodic beauty. Gill Aharon describes the group’s approach as an open musical game: rather than relying on fixed arrangements, the musicians play collaboratively and leave room for spontaneity.
