Bead Therapy
Bead Therapy is an expressive arts workshop focused on making beaded jewelry while learning how semi-precious stones differ from precious stones. Using semi-precious stones and other natural jewelry materials, participants can explore creativity, self-expression, and a calm, meditative approach to artmaking.
The workshop is not group clinical therapy, but it is designed as a supportive space for tactile creative expression. Its facilitator, a mental health clinician, has used beadwork with clients experiencing anxiety, children with ADHD, and people seeking an alternative way to express themselves. Participants may create jewelry that reflects their emotions and will be able to keep everything they make.
