Smut Slam
Smut Slam is a fast-paced storytelling open mic centered on real-life lust, sex, and intimacy. Consenting participants can sign up when they arrive for the chance to tell a five-minute story drawn from their own experiences. Eight to ten storytellers are selected at random, and a panel of celebrity judges awards the top three with sexy prizes from Good Vibrations Harvard Square. Audience members can also submit anonymous questions and confessions for a chance to win NJOY goodies.
Hosted by Kat Sistare, the event welcomes queer, kink, vanilla, fat, and poly communities, as well as people with all levels and types of sexual experience. Stories may be funny, triumphant, sad, disturbing, poignant, serious, simple, or about an experience that did not go well. The event emphasizes consent and does not allow material involving racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, discrimination, fetishization, or objectification.
