Laura Anglade

Laura Anglade brings a contemporary perspective to jazz standards and lesser-known gems, drawing inspiration from Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, and Barbra Streisand. Now based in Brooklyn, the French-born vocalist is known for emotionally nuanced performances that honor jazz tradition while finding fresh meaning and wonder in everyday experiences.

Her approach emphasizes expressive storytelling and “acting the song,” giving familiar repertoire renewed vitality while keeping the performances timeless and modern. The event page also features a live video of Anglade performing “Sunday in New York.”
