Charles Haynes and the Tabernacle

Charles Haynes and the Tabernacle bring together Afrobeat, jazz, gospel, and hip-hop in a high-energy live performance combining music, dance, and storytelling. Led by drummer, composer, producer, and Berklee alumnus Charles Haynes, the ensemble draws on the musical traditions of the African diaspora while creating a contemporary, communal sound designed to inspire movement and connection.

The performance reflects Haynes’s personal story of resilience and his belief in music’s healing power. It also offers a preview of the group’s forthcoming debut album, *My Village, Vol. 1*. Haynes’s collaborators have included Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Robert Glasper, Marcus Miller, Samara Joy, and Angélique Kidjo.
