Online Series: Eyes on Art
Take an afternoon art break with Eyes on Art, the ICA’s online close-looking program for adults age 65 and older. Led by ICA Gallery Educators, each live session invites participants to study one artwork from the ICA’s permanent collection, share observations, and develop interpretations together. The November 17 session focuses on Mickalene Thomas’s *Monet’s Salon*, a richly layered interior scene that has become popular with ICA visitors.
The program is designed to encourage slower, more attentive looking and fresh perspectives. No prior art knowledge or experience is required, and adults of all ages are welcome. This is a participatory discussion rather than a lecture.
