Ifé/Ifé the Sequel (together)

Ifé/Ifé the Sequel presents two connected Nigerian films about the relationship between Ife and Adaora, with a brief intermission between screenings. The program begins with Uyaiedu Ikpe-Etim’s 2020 film *ÌFÉ*, followed by Pamela Adie’s 2026 sequel, which reunites the former lovers years after their separation.

The first film follows Ife and Adaora as they fall in love during a three-day date, while confronting the dangers and social realities of being lesbians in Nigeria. In the sequel, their paths cross again in Lagos, reviving feelings that challenge the lives they have built and the risks of pursuing a forbidden love.
