Crazy World of Love

Louise Alexandra returns to Boston, her musical hometown, to present her third album, *Crazy World of Love*. The Dutch-American jazz vocalist spent 15 years in Boston, where she worked closely with Rebecca Parris on her first two albums, before moving to the Netherlands for the past decade. There, she balanced a career in cancer research with music and developed new collaborations.

Recorded with Dutch jazz pianist Rob van Bavel and his band, the album combines original compositions, new lyrics set to music by van Bavel and Emmet Cohen, reimagined jazz standards, and vocalese that expands Alexandra’s songwriting. Its repertoire moves through intimate ballads, waltzes, Latin styles, and fast swing while examining love in its many forms. Vocalist and trumpeter Benny Benack III is featured as a special guest on one track.
