Truth & Illusion (真与假）

Avery Wang presents *Truth & Illusion (真与假)*, the fourth and final installment of his *Half & Half* recital series at Berklee College of Music. The performance begins in an imagined world shaped by fantasy, desire, and self-projection, then follows a maglev train across the dividing line between illusion and reality into the “real world.”

Drawing on pop, R&B, soul, rock, jazz, electronic, and orchestral styles, the concert combines strings, horns, SATB background vocals, and a full rhythm section. Its themes include identity, truth, personal choice, and the pursuit of an authentic self, bringing Wang’s Berklee recital journey to its conclusion.
