Bringing Out Each Other’s Strengths: The Art of Listening and Collaboration with Tamir Hendelman and Tierney Sutton
This clinic and master class brings vocalist Tierney Sutton and pianist Tamir Hendelman together to share lessons from more than 20 years of performing, touring, arranging, and collaborating as a duo. Drawing on their recording *Spring*, they will demonstrate how musicians can strengthen one another through attentive listening, groove, spontaneity, and a deeper connection to the song.
The session will examine how accompaniment can become an active musical conversation, balancing careful preparation with the freedom to respond in the moment. Students are invited to perform with their partners and receive feedback. Those interested in sharing a song should contact Cassandre McKinley in advance.
