Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam-Rohan Nijhawan

The Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam features Cambridge-born poet and activist Rohan Nijhawan. His work draws on his experiences living with a rare, unidentified disease and on themes of love, death, angst, humanity, activism, and personal resilience. Nijhawan describes himself as outgoing and adventurous; his experiences include skydiving in California, mountain biking in Colorado, snorkeling in Jamaica, and meeting the Dalai Lama.

His poetry has been characterized by friends and family as revolutionary, insightful, introspective, and marked by “smooth truths.” A major influence on both his writing and life is Bob Marley. Nijhawan released his first book, “Tick Tock Tempestuous: Poems of Love, Death, Angst & Humanity,” in fall 2023, and plans to publish a forthcoming haiku collection titled “I Fall Without Fear.”
