Alisa Weilerstein in Recital

Alisa Weilerstein opens her residency at The Cathedral Church of Saint Paul with an unaccompanied cello recital. Her program connects Joan Tower’s *For Alisa* with two of Johann Sebastian Bach’s celebrated solo cello suites, followed by Zoltán Kodály’s demanding 1915 Sonata for Solo Cello in B minor, a major work in the solo repertoire.

The recital features Weilerstein throughout, performing without additional instrumentalists. There is an intermission between the two Bach suites and the Kodály sonata.
