Drop-In Notary Services

Drop in during the Brighton branch’s designated hours to have documents notarized; no appointment is required. Forms must be completed in advance except for the signatures that will be notarized, and signatures must be made in the notary’s presence.

Bring a current government-issued photo ID for every signer. If witnesses are required, attendees must provide their own. Documents requiring certified copies should be accompanied by the originals. Notary services are currently available only for documents in English.

Requirements: Bring fully completed forms, unsigned until meeting with the notary, and an up-to-date government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, or state identification card. Attendees must supply any required witnesses.

Additional information: Public photocopiers are available at all Boston Public Library locations for making copies.
