Clavinet Mini-Summit: Amy Bellamy and Dave Limina

Clavinet Mini-Summit: Amy Bellamy and Dave Limina is a funky live concert centered on the vintage Hohner Clavinet, the electro-mechanical keyboard famously heard on Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” and “Higher Ground.” Harmony Professor Amy Bellamy and Piano Department Chair Dave Limina will perform with two Clavinets together, exploring songs that showcase the instrument’s distinctive sound.

The program includes Herbie Hancock’s “Steppin’ in It” and “Hang Up Your Hangups,” Billy Preston’s “Outa Space,” and Rufus’s “Tell Me Something Good.” They will be joined by drummer Larry Finn, bassist Chris Loftlin, and vocalist Debo Ray.
