Janet McNamara

Janet McNamara is a Boston-bred stand-up comedian now based in New York City. Her comedy combines a dry, sharply observant style with carefully constructed punch lines, finding humor in everyday misunderstandings, workplace politics, and questions of identity. A former accountant, she applies a precise, analytical sensibility to her material.

McNamara recently became a regular performer at the Comedy Cellar after the viral reception of her debut special, *Not Smart Enough*. She was also featured in the *This American Life* segment “Diagnose Me, Maybe?”
