Kirsten Vangsness: Outdated
Kirsten Vangsness presents *Outdated*, a solo theater piece written and performed by the actor best known for playing Penelope Garcia on *Criminal Minds*. The show grew from a dating story Vangsness shared with author Roxane Gay, who encouraged her to turn it into a play because it might help people. It premiered at the 2025 Hollywood Fringe, later appeared at San Francisco Sketchfest, and now comes to City Winery Boston.
Vangsness has also co-written five episodes of *Criminal Minds* and created plays including *Potential Space*, *Mess*, and *Cleo, Theo & Wu*. Her other work includes the film-noir spoof *Kill Me, Deadly*, as well as *The Amish Stud*, *Dave Made a Maze*, and *Diane & Devine Meet the Apocalypse*. She regularly tours with *Selected Shorts*, hosts the YouTube series *Kirsten’s Agenda*, and created the Hollywood creativity salon *Bits!*
