Julie Rhodes and the Electric Company

Julie Rhodes and the Electric Company bring an evening of Americana, blues, and soul to the Lizard Lounge. Boston-born and Rhode Island–based singer-songwriter Julie Rhodes is known for her powerful vocals, emotionally direct songwriting, and performances that have drawn comparisons to Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin.

Rhodes’s debut album, *Bound to Meet the Devil*, was recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Dirt Floor Studio in Chester, Connecticut. The album featured contributions from Spooner Oldham and Sara Watkins, with production by Jonah Tolchin, and earned Rhodes several Boston and Rhode Island Music Awards, including honors for New Artist, Vocalist, and Americana Artist of the Year.
