Brian Patton – Broadway Hump Day
Brian Patton’s Broadway Hump Day invites professionals, emerging performers, aspiring singers, and show-tune fans to an evening of Broadway music in the Napoleon Room at Club Café. The event combines audience sing-alongs, an open mic, and other musical activities, with Brian Patton providing piano and vocals.
Patton is a singer, pianist, and vocal coach who has performed across the Northeast and in New York City for more than 20 years. He studied at the Hartt School of Music in West Hartford and pursued graduate work in music education at Central Connecticut State University. His vocal group, 16th and Savoy, appeared regularly at Don’t Tell Mama in New York, while his IRNE Award-winning At the Movies group presented musical revues with frequent performances at Boston’s Scullers Jazz Club. His past work also includes accompanying Broadway performer Jackie Hoffman for her one-woman show The Kvetching Continues at the Boston Center for the Arts and directing the onstage band for Joan Rivers’s 2007 appearances at the Wilbur Theatre. He was also recently appointed artistic director for a cabaret collaboration with CONCORA and TheaterWorks.
