Information Session for Adult English Learners
This informal information session is for adult English-language learners seeking library resources, support, and opportunities to practice. Members of the Boston Public Library’s Literacy Services team will answer questions, explain how to register for grammar classes, and connect attendees with local programs and other learning tools. The session is intended for guidance and resource-sharing rather than formal English instruction.
Attendees can also learn about free, informal conversation groups for practicing speaking and listening, as well as resources such as the City of Boston’s Adult Literacy Initiative, the Massachusetts Adult Education Help Desk, Literacy Resources for ESOL Learners, and Mango Languages, which requires a library card. Information about obtaining a library card will also be available.
