Ms. 45

Ms. 45 is an eerie 1981 crime film from director Abel Ferrara, set against the streets of early-1980s New York City. Thana, a garment worker, is assaulted twice in a single day and becomes consumed by violent nighttime revenge, stalking the city and shooting men who cross her path. The film turns the familiar vigilante premise into a highly stylized, unsettling character study, anchored by a haunting performance from Zoë Tamerlis.

Presented by Night Light, the screening is part of a series devoted to classic and contemporary cult films from around the world.
