The Scoop: Book Club — Dream Drawings
November is Native American Heritage Month, and this installment of The Scoop book club focuses on N. Scott Momaday’s *Dream Drawings: Configurations of a Timeless Kid*. The group will discuss Momaday’s collection of 100 brief “dream drawings,” which combine prose-poem-like sketches with reflections on nature, animals, warriors, hunters, love, loss, time, and memory. The book draws on Momaday’s Native American heritage and oral storytelling traditions and includes black-and-white paintings by the author.
The discussion takes place in person at Sip of Joy in Boston’s South End. Purchases at the café are encouraged but not required, and the group welcomes prospective participants.
