The Complete Works of Jane Austen, Abridged

The Complete Works of Jane Austen, Abridged is a fast-moving comedy that compresses Austen’s six novels into a 100-minute performance. Three performers portray the novels’ heroines, friends, love interests, and other characters while bringing Austen’s social satire to the stage. When one cast member disappears, the remaining two must train an understudy during the performance, creating a chaotic theatrical romp.

Written by Jessica Bedford, Kathryn MacMillan, Charlotte Northeast, and Meghan Winch, the production is presented in partnership with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.
