ICA Unlocked is a welcoming, two-part program for adults who are curious about contemporary art but may feel unsure where to begin. Led by approachable ICA staff, participants will explore the galleries, discuss works by artists including Rose B. Simpson, Yayoi Kusama, and Andy Warhol, and develop practical ways to look at and talk about unfamiliar art without specialized jargon.

The program also includes a live performance by the New York–based Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company in the ICA’s waterfront theater. With limited enrollment, the experience is designed to be intimate and conversational, offering opportunities to meet other participants, speak with ICA staff, and gain confidence visiting galleries and performances.

When: Sunday, November 8, and Sunday, November 22

Showtimes: 1–3:30 PM on both program dates

Tickets: $70 for ICA members; $85 for nonmembers

Venue: Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA)

Format: Two-part program. The November 8 session focuses on visual arts, while the November 22 session centers on the performing arts.

Audience: Curious adults who want a relaxed, low-pressure introduction to contemporary art. No prior art expertise is expected.

Capacity: Enrollment is limited to preserve an intimate and lively group setting.
