Sadurn

Sadurn performs at The Sinclair with Kitchen and hemlock. Led by G DeGroot, Sadurn’s music combines deeply personal songwriting with expressive full-band arrangements. The performance follows the emotional journey behind the band’s sophomore album, *The Underworld*, which grew out of DeGroot’s struggles with vocal loss, chronic pain, grief, and eventual healing.

Sadurn began as DeGroot’s solo project in 2017 before expanding into a band with guitarist Jon Cox, drummer Amelia Swain, and bassist Tabitha Ahnert. The group’s debut album, *Radiator*, was released by Run For Cover Records in 2022. Their later work on *The Underworld* reflects a long process of recovery and creative renewal, moving through themes of loss, self-discovery, acceptance, and returning to oneself. The album features intimate performances alongside lush arrangements, including pedal steel, fiddle, vocal harmonies, and extended instrumental passages.
