Vertigo
Alfred Hitchcock’s *Vertigo* follows Scottie Ferguson, a retired police detective whose career ended in tragedy and who is hired to observe an old friend’s wife. As Scottie becomes increasingly captivated by Madeleine, the assignment develops into a disturbing mystery involving love, death, identity, and obsession. The film is widely regarded as one of Hitchcock’s defining works and a landmark of psychological cinema.
