Medium Lantern Making Workshop #2 Fall 2026
Instructor and artist Fritz Smith leads this hands-on lantern-making workshop inspired by the “Starry Night” theme. Participants will create glowing lanterns from natural materials, including willow branches, tissue paper, and LED lights, while exploring brightness, hope, and connection during the darker season. The workshop is designed for a range of skill levels and focuses on both artistic learning and community participation.
This session’s project is an owl or flying fish lantern. Participants are also invited to carry their finished lanterns in the River of Lights Parade on January 17th, a winter procession celebrating light and community.
