Spotlight Tour: Un/Settled, with Leandra Bautista ’28
Leandra Bautista ’28 leads this conversational Spotlight Tour exploring home as a place of comfort or discomfort. The tour examines three works: Mary Cassatt’s *Woman on a Striped Sofa with a Dog* (1876), a 12th-century Italian casket shaped like a tower, and Robert Smullyan Sloan’s 1945 painting of a Black soldier.
Spotlight Tours are created and led by Harvard undergraduates across a range of academic disciplines. Each tour presents a student-selected, thematic look at the Harvard Art Museums’ collections and typically focuses on three objects. This program is supported by the Ho Family Student Guide Fund, which trains student guides in research, visual analysis, critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership.
