Mary Mac
Mary Mac returns to Josephine’s stage with Boston pianist Andy Lantz for an evening inspired by Berlin cabaret between the two world wars. Their performance invites audiences to mingle with society’s outsiders and scapegoats as they satirize the status quo while imagining a better world.
Mac’s varied career includes appearances with The Carpenters, the Boston Pops, Up With People, and Ben Vereen and the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. She helped found Acme Theater, Catbox Cabaret, and Avenue Stage, fronted the cabaret band Sukey Tawdry, and has performed at Josephine’s Cabaret in *The Last Time I Saw You*. She also performs around Boston with the Emberists.
Lantz is a Boston-based pianist who has spent 16 years leading the *Lush Life* residency at Club Café’s Napoleon Room. He has worked there for the past eight years with singer Frankie Campofelice, performs in numerous musical styles, and regularly appears at Provincetown venues including The Pilgrim House, The Keyhole Speakeasy, and 361 Coffee & Espresso.
