Gary Higgins

Gary Higgins performs live at the ROOTED Armory Cafe at the Center for Arts at the Armory in Somerville. Presented by Octafish Events, the concert features the psych-folk musician whose 1973 cult album *Red Hash* was rediscovered and reissued decades later, bringing his music to a new generation of psych-folk listeners.

Higgins’s work gained renewed attention after *Red Hash* became a celebrated cult release in 2005. The album was praised by artists including David Tibet of Current 93 and Ben Chasny of Six Organs of Admittance, and was reissued by Drag City after the label located Higgins in late 2004.
